High lights about our privacy practice: * We design our app can be used anonymously, we do not ask any email, phone or personal information to use our app. * We do not (and will never) sell or share any of the data submitted directly or indirectly by our users with any person or entity. * We may anonymously gather data on app usage and crashes solely for the purpose of enhancing app quality. It is our primary goal to store only the absolute minimum of information for the shortest possible time (“Privacy by Design”). In addition to using state-of-the-art encryption methods, we take all necessary technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized data access and misuse. The processing and protection of data is carried out in accordance with applicable legal regulations California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). 1. General Information The DNS Firewall app (hereinafter referred to as “DNS Firewall”) was developed in order to leave as little metadata as possible on a central server. It is therefore not absolutely necessary to indicate personal data to use the app. The identification of a subscriber takes place exclusively via a random generated 8 upper case alphabet and digital as ID and a Elliptical Curve Cryptography (ECC) 25519 key pair created when first time install application. Purpose of Data Processing DNS Firewall processes data to enable the transmission of DNS resolve request and response. The data is processed exclusively by DNS Firewall on its own server infrastructure in Unit States and is not passed on to third parties. The communication between client and DNS Firewall backend is encrypted with TLS 1.3 or TLS 1.2 per client device cryptography capability, TLS 1.3 is preferred over TLS 1.2 at TLS negotiation phrase. 3. Scope and Duration of Data Processing 3.1. Inventory Data In the context of the use of DNS Firewall, the following inventory data are collected and stored: - DNS Firewall ID - Public key - Device mode (iPhone, iPad) - Device name - Operating system and version of the DNS Firewall app - Device random id (app vendor ID) - Date time of creation of the DNS Firewall ID - Date time of the last login - Timezone All data is only stored until deleted by the user. Once the information is deleted, it cannot be restored. There may periodic backup of data, the deletion may not delete from backup immediately, however the backup rotate periodically so it will eventually be deleted. 3.2. DNS Query History DNS Firewall may store DNS query history per user's preference. The storage is encrypted. If user choose not save DNS query log, no DNS query history data is logged. 3.3. Crash Reports In order to improve the stability and reliability of the app, DNS Firewall relies on anonymous crash report. 3.4. License Verification To prevent abuse and piracy, the entitlement of a user is verified when creating a DNS Firewall ID. For this purpose, the anonymized digital purchase receipt from the app store is sent to the server and verified. The receipt is stored for future license verification. DNS Firewall does not receive personal data from the buyer and cannot link the created DNS Firewall ID to the buyer. 4. Data Processed by Third Parties DNS Firewall does not share on any data to third parties, is completely free of advertising. However, some functionalities can only be provided by using external data sources, frameworks or operating system services, which in turn process data and are subject to a separate privacy policy. 5. Right to Information, Correction and Deletion You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by DNS Firewall at any time. Likewise, you have the right to correct and delete your personal data. The stored DNS Firewall ID can be viewed at any time within app settings screen.
